Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement applies to www.ellyjansenaward.org. This statement was last updated on 1 November 2025.

This website is run by Community Housing & Therapy. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, regardless of technology or ability. We are committed to working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website. We have designed our website to be as accessible as possible in accordance with the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards and have endeavoured to comply with guidelines laid down by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI).

This means that you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings

  • magnify your screen without the text spilling off the screen

  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software

  • make changes to style sheets

  • translate text

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability. The BBC has a useful set of instructions and video guides on how to make these adjustments and other features in your browser and specific operating system, as part of its My Web My Way Guide.

Images and video

Where possible, we have included descriptive alternative text for relevant images across this website to assist screen readers. Where possible, videos on this website will include captions. However, where this hasn’t been possible the captions will have been created within YouTube. To access captions on YouTube, click the ‘CC’ button within the video player.

PDFs

We are aware that some PDF documents are not fully accessible in several ways including:

We will continue to evaluate our digital document formats and accessibility to make them as inclusive as possible. If you require information in alternative formats please contact us.
